Recent studies have shown that productivity at work is not only related to work competence but also to psychological health. Employees between the ages of 18-24 are lost within a year depending on their psychological state and cause many material and moral damages. The reason for this damage is that employees cannot come to work or even if they do, they cannot be mentally present at work.
Research has concluded that depression is the most common psychological disorder among employees. It has been revealed that the productivity of employees who show symptoms of depression decreases 4 times more than other employees.
It is thought that personal conditions such as focus, repetition of work, effective use of time, effective communication skills, and work performance affect the state of being mentally absent at work. Considering all these, managers need to analyze the mental states of their employees well for both the company and their employees and make guidance according to their needs. It has been supported by research that these disruptions that occur at work can be solved with psychological support. Employee support programs that serve this purpose can also be considered as a logical choice in order not to harm companies and employees, but also to benefit.
